Senior Voice Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Senior Voice Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious business based in Central Manchester.

Location: Central Manchester

Salary: Up to £62,000 Per Annum

Skills/Requirements for the Senior Voice Engineer:

• Previous experience in a similarly senior role
• Experience of both Carrier and UC & C Networks
• In-depth knowledge within SIP, SDP and RTP protocols
• Experience of working with Video and WebRTC principals
• Understanding of general networking such as Cisco routing and switching
• Experience of ISDN, SS7 and/or H.323 is highly desirable
• Ability to use stress testing tools such as Wireshark, Hammer and/or VoIPMonitor is also highly desirable
• Linux and Database knowledge highly desirable

Start date is ASAP for the Senior Voice Engineer

The Senior Voice Engineer will be responsible for:

• Working alongside the architecture team to define the product roadmap and design and delivery new products
• Participating in Change Management for major or complex changes, adhering to the internal change management process.
• Identifying and managing risks ensuring the successful delivery of products and assets.
• Taking ownership of problem records raised through CSI and IM requiring solution or asset redesign.
• Providing a 4th level of technical escalation for customer or network incidents.
• Being a mentor for any new starters
• Participating in on-call rotation ensuring we provide 24/7/365 operational support
