1st Line Support

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer on a permanent basis for our fast growing business based in Manchester, this is an opportunity to work for a business that promotes from within and has an excellent training program.

Location: Manchester

Salary: £25,000 – £26,500 per Annum

Skills/Requirements for the 1st Line Support Engineer

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Strong Active Directory experience
• Any O365 hands on support is advantageous
• Windows 7/10 experience
• Basic Networking support experience around DNS and DHCP
• Group Policy knowledge
• Any ITIL knowledge is highly desirable

Start date is ASAP for the Service Desk Analyst

• The 1st Line Support Engineer will be responsible for:
• Providing support to our technical infrastructure and end user computing, to deliver effective and efficient first line resolutions
• Providing central IT service functions, including the management of incident and problem tickets.
• Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and requests raised by our staff.
• Creating documentation and ensure existing technical documentation is kept up to date.
• Following approved procedures regarding change and change management.
• Assessing incoming incidents and prioritising work according to timescales and processes.
• Remotely monitoring and identifying trends through analytical data from all infrastructure components.
• Support all corporate applications.
• Ensuring servicing and maintenance schedules are undertaken at the most operationally / convenient times.
• Record major incidents, remedial activity and future actions.
• Working as part of a larger team to support multiple sites.
• Participating in coaching; working in effective partnership with other leaders
